MEET THE MINDS BEHIND
Originator and Belgium native Marjorie Casse was driven to create a space where people could come and enjoy the traditional European style food reminiscent of her childhood. Her passion to bring the aesthetic of classic European cafes and patisseries to the red rock surrounded town of Kanab led Casse to collaborate with successful local Chef Shon Foster (Sego Restaurant). They worked to create an eating space that enticed friends to linger and enjoy the company of those closest to them. Casse & Foster’s vision has constructed a warm aesthetic and a menu compiled of finely designed plates with wood-fire oven flavors. Whether you are stopping in for a Danish or baguette to enjoy on your drive to the Toadstools or the Grand Canyon, or staying for a relaxing~leisurely~hot brunch, the atmosphere and flavors will convince you to return often. Chef de cuisine, Cheryl McAllister’s attention to detail and love for the food will impress and entice with a complex arrangement of flavors. It is Marjorie & Chef Shon’s hope that guests will feel at home and that the flavors will evoke memories and make lasting new ones.

The Love &
Tuesday through Sunday our bakers arise early, to crisp air and the sun yet to rise. They construct the delicate pastries and breads that line the wood shelves of Kanab Creek Bakery. Their love for old world processes keeps their hands busy and flour covered. Fresh espresso fills the air as the sun peaks and guests enter the softly lit bakery. The scent of wood-fire baked onions, peppers, and foraged mushrooms rounds its way through aromas of freshly baked bread. The chefs and bakers await your joy.
